What will you study?

When you enrol in this course, you can choose either the Academic or the General training option.

The Academic option:

for students who want to enrol in undergraduate or postgraduate university courses and for professionals who want to study or practise in an English-speaking country.

The General Training option:
for students who intend following vocational or non-academic training, for admission to secondary schools or for immigration purposes.

Whichever course option you choose, our experienced exam teachers will prepare you for your exam by:

  • giving you feedback
  • focusing on developing the language skills and areas of language knowledge you need to obtain your required IELTS score.

How is this course structured?

Our IELTS course comprises 30 lessons of 45 minutes each per week.

The test is held on a monthly basis and classes run throughout the year so you can join the IELTS exam preparation course at any time of the year starting any Monday.  We recommend that you follow this course for a minimum of 6 weeks.

To join this course, you must be 16 years old and have a minimum B1 or Intermediate level of English (Common European Reference Framework). Our Academic  staff ask you to sit for a short test on your first day at school to ensure that you are at the right language level.

If you are not yet at the right language level, you can study English and improve your language level by enrolling in one of our General English or Intensive language courses before joining the European School of English IELTS preparation course.

You can continue to improve your English through self-study by accessing our e-Learning programme from the time you enrol on your course until three months after you finish your course.
