Is a closed group the right course for you or your students?
Closed groups are for individuals who share a common profile and a common language learning objective. In this case, lessons and course materials are designed specifically to target this language learning objective.

What will you study?
Course objectives vary from one group to another. Some examples of English language learning objectives for Closed Groups studying English at ESE in Malta include:

  • Intensive language and exam preparation for Cambridge First Certificate, one of the Cambridge Main Suite of ESOL exams
  • Development of accuracy and fluency around topics of general interest
  • Developing language knowledge, accuracy and fluency for Tourism and Hospitality
  • Improving English presentation skills for Health Services officials
  • Developing English across the four language  skills around the topics of Banking and Finance
  • General discussion of educational situations and themes for teachers
  • Expanding vocabulary and improving fluency in English for journalists in action
  • General English for learners with disabilities

How is a Closed Group course structured?
As a Closed Group, you may book between 20 to 40 lessons per week, with each lesson being 45 minutes long. Courses start on a Monday and are available between September and June although other dates may also be considered.

Your leisure, cultural and social activities can be planned in advance according to the group’s preferences. Please click on the Leisure section for more information about the available options.

Please email us at info@ese-edu.com giving us details of start date, number of weeks, number of students and their ages, number of accompanying teachers/group leaders, tuition requirements and number of lessons, accommodation details and preferred activities including requests for any particular event such as company, educational or institutional visits.

Free course, accommodation and leisure activities
Please note that in the low season one teacher/group leader per 15 students is offered a free General English course, or 3 hours of a Teacher Training course at our sister company ETI,  as well as free accommodation and leisure activities.
