The tour was very interesting. Mdina is the oldest city on the island and has great architectural treats. The city was first built 4000 years ago and derives its name from “Mediva” as named during the Arabic times. The old houses were built with limestone.

 

Due to the fact that many colonising people like Arabic, Nomads and Romans have left their mark on the city you can find different styles of facades and architecture like “Gothic” and “Baroque”.

 

We later walked through the old streets and visited a nice souvenir shop before boarding the coach for the journey home.
