ESE Cambridge Examination students

Learn English and make friends

ESE's Teenager Courses provide a wonderful opportunity to meet young people from many different countries. The course combines a week of action-packed task-based learning activities with a fully supervised social and entertainment programme. Course duration may be 1 to 4 weeks long. This exciting combination has had many students returning to Malta year after year until they are old enough to join our adult programme !

Learn English at your level

At the start of the course on Monday all students take a Placement Test which forms the basis for allocating students to the most appropriate class based on their level and age. During the first lesson the teacher will confirm the students' fluency level and if necessary students will be given the opportunity to change levels. At ESE our teachers always take a personal interest in our students and their studies. They constantly encourage students to achieve their best and to develop excellent communicative skills.

Our team

Our Director of Studies heads the Academics Department and is supported by associates and teachers who are all dedicated and passionate about teaching to make your learning English at ESE stimulating, rewarding and fun.

ESE offers a range of courses which are designed to improve your proficiency in the English language. These programmes vary in terms of learning levels, duration and the number of participants in each class.  ESE operates from the main school in Paceville and three other Teen schools in the summer: ESE Naxxar, ESE San Gwann and ESE Pembroke.

We offer General EnglishIntensive English, Private Tuition and Play & Learn (Milan Junior Camp & English). Closed groups are also welcomed in either General English or a combination of General English and a particular focus such as history or culture.

At ESE we follow the Council of Europe and the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) system by which the language competency levels are defined. These CEF levels range from A1 (roughly equivalent to elementary level) to C2 (Proficiency). More information can be reviewed at http://www.alte.org/alteframework/table.php
