Competition Terms & Conditions
1. The competition is open to any person who has attended an ESE Course in Malta.
2. Only entrants submitting the completed Application and Consent Form together with the materials before the closing date are eligible to be considered by ESE.
3. Closing date for final entry is midnight on 31 August 2010.
4. Each submission may only participate once and cannot be used in any other future ESE competition.
5. The valid booking code for use in this Competition is the Student Booking Number found on your ESE student card, confirmation letter or similar correspondence on booking.
6. When you enter the competition online at www.ese-edu.com/competitions/, you must ensure that you provide a valid email address and/or mobile phone number to enable us to contact you. In any case, the Application and Consent Form must be completed in full and submitted.
7. In the event of an entrant’s mobile number changing or the mobile phone being lost, stolen or damaged, or an email address becoming inaccessible during the Promotion, we will be unable to retrieve and amend any existing entries to a new mobile number or email address.
8. All prizes are for one person (ESE Terms and Conditions apply) and are subject to availability and any applicable age/health restrictions. Prizes are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of announcement of the prize.
9. ESE or its agents are not responsible for
a) Any incorrect or inaccurate code entry, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions.
b) Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of this Promotion.
c) Inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or both.
Regretfully, we cannot be held liable for system failures on the website or at any of our promotional third party partners. Neither can we be held responsible for the failure to fulfil the obligations of any third parties involved in this Promotion, although we will always try to minimize the effect to the participant of any such failure.
10. Participants in the Competition agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. ESE reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual found to be acting in any manner decided by ESE to be in violation of the Terms and Conditions; or to be acting in any manner decided by ESE to be disruptive.
11. Description of prizes may be found on the ESE website - www.ese-edu.com/competition/.
12. No other costs will be covered by ESE other than those stated in these Terms and Conditions.
13. Where relevant, winners are responsible for their own transport including air/sea travel and transport to and from airports, having permanent and valid passport and any visa and immigration requirements.
14. Booking of prizes is subject to availability and certain restrictions apply.
15. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. Prizes are non-transferable. In the event of circumstances outside its control, ESE reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
16. All entrants acknowledge that they are responsible to ensure that the materials submitted in the competition are free from any copyright limitations.
17. By entering the Competition, all entrants acknowledge that they may be required to participate in publicity relating to the Competition element of the Promotion without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include, without limitation, the entrants name and/or image, statements made by the entrants concerning the Competition and/or prizes and photographs or moving images of the entrants or their guests taken as part of the Competition.
18. Any material created and submitted as part of the Competition shall be owned by ESE and ESE shall have the rights to use such material. Competitors agree that ESE can edit, publish and use in perpetuity throughout the world all or segments of any such material in any and all media (including print and online) for publicity and news purposes.
19. ESE’s decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. Names of prize winners and runners up as well as materials will be published at the discretion of ESE on all its publicity materials and any other media.
21. The winners of the competition will be chosen within 60 days of the closing date, and the winners will be informed by email and published on the ESE web page and Facebook.
22. Judging - The judging process is as follows:
a) Each Entry will be judged in its category by a panel of 5 judges. The scores will be averaged to produce a final score;
b) The Entry with the highest final score within each Category will be deemed the Category winner;
c) In the case of a category tie, the judges' individual scores for each Entry will be added together to produce a score tie calculation. The Entry with the highest score tie calculation will be deemed the winner;
d) In the event that Entries in a Category are still tied at the end of the judging process, those images will be re-judged by a further independent judging panel to produce the winner;
e) Consideration will also be taken of the number of hits and visits on Facebook and You Tube for each entrant when judging.
